So this happened last night. Got my hand slammed in door and now my finger is broken. My whole hand is swollen and cut up and so painful. I have to be on antibiotics for the next week and supposed to follow up with an orthopedic but I need to find one that takes my Medicaid insurance because with my Cigna insurance they want hundreds of dollars that I can't pay right now. Anyways it says 4 weeks to heal and I'm due in 4 weeks. I will be so upset if I'm still like this when I have my baby. It's my right hand so I feel so crippled. I can't do anything :(

Thanks ladies. It definitely sucks. I've never had a broken bone and of course it happens when I'm pregnant lol. I just really hope it heals before my baby boy decides to come.

I work as a medical assistant in an ortho office and if you arent healed by then you will at least just be in a finger splint by then. Try to think positive. It will be ok

@provov thank you. I'm just worried now because I read if I don't get it checked it can heal wrong. So is it really necessary to get it checked? I just need to find a dr I can afford right now :(

@browncj yeah it really did. My finger was hanging off to the side and it felt like I didn't even have one anymore. Like I couldn't use it at all lol.
