Is this the order for my anatomy scan?? When I had my 16 week appt on Friday they gave me this and said someone would call me in 2 weeks to schedule it, and that it was an routine ultrasound to make sure everything's good with the baby, I'm just confused cause it says fetal anatomy? So is that my anatomy scan? I'm guessing yeah? Sorry FTM here. I'm gonna call them later to make sure I don't have to call and schedule it since I have the order. The lady said someone would call me but they gave me the order so now I'm confused. I didn't realize it when I left the dr because it was behind my lab order.

Is there a time and date for the ultrasound on this? If not then this is the order saying you need it but they'll call you to schedule a time and day to do it.

Yep looks like your baby's anatomy scan order.
It's basically saying your order is for an ultrasound of the baby's anatomy & your anatomy- such as placenta, cervix, umbilical cord, uterus, ovaries.

That's an order for the anatomy scan. Now that the physician has ordered it they can schedule it. Everything requires orders...labs ultrasounds etc.. I guess they just prefer you to wait until they call to schedule the actual date and time of the scan.

Okay thanks girls. There's no date on it, so I'm guessing they'll call me like the lady said? She said they would call in about 2 weeks and I'll be almost 19 weeks then so I guess that's right. Did you guys get it done at your drs office or do they send you somewhere else?

Usually it's at the doctors office. The timing seems about right. Most do it 20+ weeks some earlier. My OB will be doing mine next week I'll be a day shy of 21 weeks.

My doctor sent me to radiology to schedule it but I check in at my OB office... so I'm not sure where I'll have mine! I'm assuming at radiology.

Yes, it's for the anatomy scan. Most doctors do it between 18-20 weeks. I'm getting mine tomorrow and I'll be 18 weeks 3 days at my specialist.

They call you and yes this is the big scan they have from week 16-20! They check to see if everything is growing properly with the organs in you little body :) and you get to find out the gender if you choose

Thanks everyone ? They actually called me a little bit ago. I'm going on the 25th! I'm excited but nervous lol.
