Does anyone else get super nervous / worried before appointments? I just get so extremely paranoid of having one of those "missed miscarriages". Everytime I go I'm so afraid of getting bad news! Am I the only one that gets like this? 16 weeks 5 days. Everything I read says that missed miscarriages are rare especially at this time. Still super nervous tho!

I get terrified. This is my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage and I had no signs until the ultrasound showed no heartbeat and then I naturally passed everything. My SO gets nervous too. I'm 15w2d.

Yes and I feel so blessed to feel baby move every once in awhile already. ❤️ Have you felt yours move yet?

I got a pocket Doppler and listen to heartbeat at home. Now that I feel movement, I am constantly reassured. I can see why you'd worry though. Pregnancy is scary.

This is my biggest fear. I get to about two weeks after a scan and then start worrying again that something's gone wrong and I don't know. It's the worst feeling. I've still got 2 weeks until my next scan and all I keep doing is prayer all is still ok.

I'm the same way! I don't feel any movement yet and that's a huge part of why I want to start feeling him. You'll be ok! I have an appointment on monday and I'm nervous. Mostly bc I'm ftm and I'm Not sure what to expect during this visit. My first pregnancy was a traumatic ectopic so still struggling to get past fears of something bad happening bc something so rare already happened to me.

You are not alone, I had my 16 week appt yesterday and it took the doctor an extra few seconds to find the baby's heart beat with the doppler and that's all it took for me to have a mini freak out moment on the inside!!
It's always so heartbreaking hearing the stories on this app of people losing their babies during any and all trimesters of their pregnancy...Just makes u worry...

No I haven't felt him yet. I'm a FTM abd everything I read says I probably won't feel him till about 20 weeks. I was gonna buy a Doppler a few weeks ago but I'm on the edge about it cause I see so much about girls not being able to find the heartbeat even tho it's there. I don't know if it would do me more harm then good to get one. But I'm definitely a worrier. Best wishes to all you mamas! ??

I do some. We have a 3 yr old never even thought of this stuff, normal perfect pregnancy and delivering. Then I miscarried in the spring, I think that's why I worry, makes you think more. Good luck momma! We found out today everything is healthy, a boy and I'm almost a week further along.

Thanks everybody! Dr couldn't find the heartbeat with the Doppler which about gave me a heart attack so I got to get an ultra sound and see him for the first time since 8 weeks!! He's so big now and dr said his heart beat was perfect, 148! So relieved. & congrats on your healthy baby! That's always the best news.

Yes! I'm 16 weeks and I go back to my dr the day before I turn 17 weeks. The last time I was there was at 11 weeks and all was well. I get so nervous, especially since telling my son.
I also have nightmares about miscarriages and that's not helpful ?

I've been this way with both my pregnancies. I can finally feel my baby at 18 weeks and it helps some. But I'm also at the stage that movement isn't consistent so that's worrying as well! I'll be glad to have my baby in my arms finally!

I get nervous about appointments too!

No I get the same way! For that day of the appoitnment and for maybe 3 or 4 days after, I feel like everything is okay. But as time goes on I get more and more terrified of a missed miscarriage and then ultimately a stillbirth (considering I just had one in August). So I guess my worries are justified, but that doesn't make it any easier to overcome.
