Traveling.
Okay so I'm 11 weeks as of today. And on Tuesday I flew to Colorado to spend thanks giving with my family. I'm here until Monday night and I'm flying back to Florida. Before I came I did research to see if it was safe to fly in a plane and everything said it was fine. But I didn't really think about the altitude change and now I'm freaking out. I read a couple different things. Some people say it's not a big deal others say it is. I'm literally freaking out now. I can't believe I didn't think about the altitude change before I came. I used to live here for 8 months and I moved back to Florida in July. I haven't felt sick or anything, just really tired but that's nothing new. I read it's not safe to travel above 12,000 feet and where I'm staying I'm 9,000 something feet. Like I said I've felt fine I'm just freaking out now. I've had a couple periods of shortness of breathe from walking up and down the stairs at my dads house but besides that nothing really. Help :(

I flew four times with my son. I stopped at 27 weeks. You're ok?

Did you fly to high altitude? Thank you tho. This is my first pregnancy so I'm freaking out at just about everything.

Yes I did. I'm from Chgo and I went to California, Atlanta, Jamaica and Florida. At 11 weeks you will have shortness of breath. I'm now 9w and I'm experiencing that now.

Okay thank you that makes me feel better! I feel stupid to not even think about it before I came. But I feel fine other than the shortness of breath sometimes and just being exhausted but I've been that way for weeks now lol.

It should be fine! Lots of flight attendants continue to work while pregnant, so that was my comfort when I had to fly lol. I'm 10 weeks and I've also started feeling out of breath/tired easily.

Wow i didnt think of that either. What about at 22 weeks? I have to fly to denver for work around then.

As long as you increase your water intake with the altitude change and your doctor has cleared you to fly, you shouldn't have any problems at 22 weeks

It's perfectly fine, only reason I wouldn't fly on a plane right now is because the air in those things is so dry and I always end up sick after a flight ?

That makes me feel better. Thanks guys. ?
