34 weeks pregnant toddler start pre k

34 weeks pregnant toddler start pre k

I know its normal for kids to grow but i cant stop stressing and getting emotional. My son is 4 years old and starting pre school monday. And im just so nervous for him and my self. Ive never been really away from him especially for a hours. He will be in pre k for 6 and a half hrs! Monday thru friday. Im due sept 18th and i know wont have much time in between one going to school than having another at home. I think my main worry is he is in speech therapy and its hard for people to understand him. And i dont want him being made fun of or getting upset. Can anyone relate?

I can so relate!!! My oldest starts Kindergarten on thursday :'( Im a SAHM as well. I cant get over the fact of him being gone for 8 hours a day. BUT I know he's going to love it and it will be good for him to have that time without little siblings. But still, Im scared.

My 4 year old starts pre-k on Wednesday but he is only on afternoons Mon, Tues, and Wed for 2.5-3 hours. I am a little sad but at the same time he is SUPER social and is excited. We will see how he does....I think how he reacts will be what affects me. If he cries I'll probably cry but if he is happy I'll probably be happy. I'm hoping to get a little time with my 20 month old one on one before baby sister comes.

Im glad im not alone on this. Yea for being gone for any amount of time seems like a big atep in general to take. So u both feel like its the change in general for everyone to make? Or something deeper.

My son starts headstart September 7th and I'm so sad he'll only be going 4 days a week for 3 hours but he's never hung around kids really so he doesn't know how to share he's always been watched by me or his grandparents so he sucks with strangers and I'm just terrified

Don't worry. When my son was in pre-k he too had to take speech therapy but being around other kids his age helped him along very quickly. Plus kids are amazing and usually can still understand their peers, it's the adults that have the trouble. And as far as being away from him for a longer period of time than your use to will just give you that extra time to give the new baby the one on one time and live your first got. Your Son will come home super excited to tell you about his day and be a great big brother !

Mmandjunie i know what you mean my son doesn't get he needs to share because isnt around alot of kids. I think being in that enviroment for school will def help with the sharing and working together. We just got to stick this out, and believe they will do nothing but great things away from us.

Chele_plus3 your right kids will be more understanding than adults i do agree with that. Yes! That would be awesome him coming home telling me about how his day went. I think im letting the negative get to me.
