It's official!
Im now scheduled for a c-section. My placenta didn't move and is covering my cervix. I was looking forward to having a vaginal birth but it's just not gonna happen. I dont know what to expect. Im not nervous "YET". Any advice from mommies that have had a c-section will be appreciated. Scheduled date is March 28th. Due date was April 14th.
To be honest, I had a c-section with my first and the pain was horrible the very first 2days. It’s all about moving around. Getting up for the first time will make you want to cry, it’s not the cut that hurts it’s the pulling/burning sensation from your sides being the only skin that you’re using. I recommend lots of walking and taking your meds before you start to feel the pain! But all in all, after the first 2days it’s not bad at all.
Thank you ladies for all your feed back. Im a little nervous but im sure everything will be alright. Just want my little man to be safe and healthy no matter what way he gets here. ?
I had a csection with my third baby and it was a totally different experience. It’s a lot of tugging feeling but not pain. After I’d say stay on your medication so it doesn’t become bad. I hate medication but the pain killers were needed. Also take fiber! The first bowel movement was worse then labor for me I wish I would have taken miralax sooner. Get help and take the first few weeks easy.
I’ve had three their not that bad recovery sucks but if you don’t over due it and you stay active and take the pain meds they give you then you’ll do fine I found that a belly binder helped right after because they cut your major muscles and you use those to get up cough laugh sneeze etc
Csections can be tense you will need lots of help the first couple weeks. 1) its an operation so you will hurt walking around in your hospital room. 2) they will monitor that you have your first bowel movement to make sure everything is working. 3) it was hard holding my child so you will need assistance when you need to put the baby down. You can’t lift heavy things for a good while until your doctor gives you clearance. I try not to think of the operation and pray to God that everything goes well.
Chyani...yeah i have heard to just take pain meds like you are supposed to and the pain won't be that bad.
I guess i should bring loose fitting clothes that wont rub that much against the incision
