He has no parental rights if he's not on the birth certificate so don't think you need his permission at all x

I'm not saying this is right but - I know someone who didn't put her sons dads name on the birth certificate , started going with her husband when he was 1 and a few years later re-registered her son and had his name put on as the father - not saying I agree or disagree as obviously they said he was the father x

He can but would have to go to court prove the child is his via DNA and then they could make you change it back. Also means on the other hand if your oh formally adopts him his dad doesn't have to pay child support.
