Weaning
So the doctors have suggested me weaning Isabella soon but I'm putting it off cos it's one step closer to her being more grown up and also I feel she's just still so small but then on the other hand the milk just isn't making her gain weight! And tbh she doesn't drink that much! She doesn't seem to love milk. Today she's not drank much but then it was quite hot! Has anyone weaned at 4 months partly cos there baby doesn't drink much milk but needs to gain weight?

We weaned at 17 weeks as its recommended for children with cystic fibrosis. I really didn't want to as she was so tiny and didn't seem ready at all but we went really slow and she took it it really well. The first couple of weeks were slow, literally 2 baby spoons at a go. Baby will show you her lead and just follow her. Avocado is a really good food, full of the good fats to help weight gain. It worked wonders on isabelle x

Yeh she's gaining slowly. The hospital says that it is hard to gain weight on diauretics but she sometimes drinks 4oz every 2.5-4 hours depending on the day but she's only gained 4oz in two weeks this time. And to me she should be gaining more as she is drinking. I'm really scared of weaning her but I'm not sure why! If my oh says about letting her try sonething I'm like noooooo don't! She's too little!! X
