My 6 year old said yesterday I don't wanna be a 'blank' anymore (he's got my surname) when you get married I want to change to guggys name, (step dad) I think it's well cute! Dunno how my dad will feel as he's the last boy to carry on the name! But at the end of the day he would of had his dads Name had we of been together ?

My son took my name to start off with and then when he was a year old we changed it to my oh's name. I was worried about how my dad would react as it was the same situation as your dad but he was actually fine about it xx

I know my dad won't be over the moon as my sister changed her sons name from ours to his dad when he was 2 and my dad was a bit upset but like I told him then normally a child takes there dads Name anyway xx
