I would just rinse it out and air dry nightly. Change weekly

I bought the medela microwaveable ziplock cleaning bags you can use it 20 times. I put the flanges in the bag in the fridge at work and then would rinse it out and microwave to steam clean it when I got home from work.

Yes sometimes I use a ziploc bag everyday but sometimes I put my pump parts in a plastic Tupperware container so I don't go thru so many bags.

I use Tupperware as well.

Plastic is easier a bag of 50 is like $9 not to bad.. I never wanted to pack extra bottles
