Failed my 1 hour glucose screening, taking the 3-hour test on Saturday. Does this diet seem right to you? 5+ servings of a "starch"? 3+ servings of "milk" (and do they mean calcium? Because milk is an ex haha)

I think it depends on the Drs preference. I was told nothing to eat after 8. My apt was at 8 the next morning though so they wanted a 12 hour fast. They also told me to abstain from carbs and sugar as much as possible the night before. Good luck tomorrow, I hope you pass your 3 hour!

Thank you! Yes, they want me to fast before Saturday morning's test, so I'll probably do the same as you, fast starting 8pm on. This is just the diet for the few days leading up to it.

Oh ok I see! Well I wish you good luck!

So this is normal? To load up on starches and fruit on the days leading up to the 3-hour test, when I could possibly have GD?

No I think that's weird that they are having you change your diet at all before the test. All I was told was to lower my carb intake the day before and to fast for 12 hours. You may want to call and get some verification of what the dr wants.
