Affordable detergents? Hi! New to this board, FTM 14 weeks along & trying to be as prepared as…

I use up&up clear and free right now started with all free and clear but it apparently has a coating agent in it that will cause repelling for some ladies. Dont buy in to the 'cloth diaper safe' detergents(like rocking green and the like). MOST are just water softeners for those who have hard water.

I use Purex with oxiclean. Works great for us. And Walgreens/CVS always has them buy one get 2 free. That's when we stock up.

Purex and Sun. Purex is like $3 at Walmart for a big box!

I've been using Sun with no issues. However I always used one big bottle of dreft up when first born. Usually lasted 2months.

Mostly just bc it smells like beautiful newborn baby and gets me excited when I wash all baby's stuff before they're born! (:

I switched all my clothes over to tide when my big kids were little. I'm cheap but I have a lot less stains with tide so it is cheaper then buying new cloths! So for me tide on cloth was a no brainer though I switched from liquid to powder to save just a little. And I use less each wash which saves too.

Tide powder. I buy the giant box (normally with a coupon) and it lasts for a while. And I have two in cloth!

I use Foca. It's super cheap at walmart. It works the best of any other detergent Ive tried.

How do you know whether or not you're using a detergent that will build up and effect absorbancy?
