They'll get it under control, momma. Jaundice is very common and they know how to treat it effectively. Hopefully the light therapy will help him and you won't be to be transferred.

Don’t worry it will be ok xx my bub had very high biliruben levels and had to spend 24 hours under the blue lights and that really helped. Hopefully it is nothing serious and bub is with you soon ❤️

Thanks guys idw have to get discharged without him ???? im so emotional right now cuz my husband isnt here with me and i feel like im going thru this all my myself. I know he has to be at home with the other kids and when i talk to him hes so stessed cuz hes not used to caring for them on a daily like i do. (Sigh) im just so ready to go home with my baby boy ????????

If your breastfeeding, that helps a whole lot! I’ve done research on it , baby can poop it out.

My 2nd daughter was born with jaundice luckily she was born in the summer so all I did was take her outside in the sun for bout 10-15 minutes n cleared rite up....it will clear up don't worry or stress yourself bout it easier said then done I know but it will be ok I'll keep you in my prayers ??

I know how you feel, may daughter was born at exactly 37 weeks and was jaundice. She spent 24hours doing phototherapy, her jaundice was completely gone within two and a half weeks.

My baby had jaundice too and I was crying for days until I knew he’d be okay. The sun light can do so much, it will surprise you how well he will do with it!

All four of my babies have had jaundice. My boys were mild but my dd had it so bad. She was in the incubator for days and then had a billi light mat I had to use to breastfeed her. Breastfeed as much as you can. They will poo and pee it out in their diapers. Between the lights and breastfeeding he will be fine. ?. It's super common. Sending hugs your way. I know what your going thru. They discharged me 5 days before my daughter. I didn't have other babies at that time so I found a friendly couch in the nicu and refused to leave. Lol. Eventually they made me a bed on that couch and fed me. You can be there as much as you want. ?

Im not breastfeeding this time... so now of course i feel like ?? cuz i breastfed all my other kids and i wanted to try somethin different this time. So i just feel super guilty....hes still poopin and peeing alot tho

It will work itself out my second son had it so bad he got sent home on a billiblanket and since I lived 45 minutes to an hour away from the hospital I had to stay with my MIL at the time and I was miserable my son couldn't go any further then his bouncy seat and I didn't want to go far from him because my MIL was a pain in my butt and her son wasn't much help besides handing him to me to feed and change not to mention he wasn't even working. I'll be praying yp ur sons levels go down and that you guys can go home soon.

Update: his bilirubin level is now 11.2 but hes older than when they last checked it so its good and hopefully when they retest at 4pm its alot better and they can turn the light off... we are so ready to go home!! So im tryin my hardest to stay positive and pray really hard ???

Dont feel like ? you can still breastfeed its not too late. ? but even if you dont as long as baby is eating then there will be plenty of dirty diapers to flush it out.
