im such a procrastinator
Yall i literally have like nothing for my son yet. I gave away the smaller clothes i had for my one year thinking it was gonna b a while before i got pregnant again and here i am yet again pregnant... idk hubby keeps brushing it off. His granma told him its bad luck to buy things for the baby before the baby gets here and so he's took that and ran with it and says that he will just get the things when the baby gets here and I feel like that's a burden because we don't want to drop a whole lot of money at one time instead of buying it piece-by-piece over time. Like its low key stressing me tf out! Idk what to do.????????

I know the feeling. My husband went from buying every outfit he could find to nothing over night. Now the stuff baby NEEDS, he won't buy yet. Ugh!!!!

Easier said than done especially if ur not financially up there, my husband is opposite he wants us to be ready I did that with my 1st child bought stuff the next day after she came home from the hospital and I was so broke after ? but never again, I feel I like need so much stuff because my last was a boy and this is my 2nd girl but it’s been 6 yrs since my 1st girl was born so I gave all her clothes to her grandma to send back home to family but am just buying important stuff now and what ever I can’t buy i get after she comes, once I get a few clothing and important things am great but my mom in law told us the same when my 1st was in my tummy and that’s y we waited but after spending all that money she understands just pray to god to keep ur lil one safe?

Totally understand mama. My husband would hardly buy anything baby needs, he'd rather spend money on video games. I finally made him go to the store with me one day and he bought bath towels, 2 onesie sets, some shoes, receiving blankets, and finally a dresser. I am so thankful for my parenting classes, I've been able to get baby a pac-n-play, a bouncer, clothes, and I bought some blankets and socks. Plus, they give me a bundle of diapers and wipes every time I go. My sister gave me her crib since she never used it and I turned my old nightstand into a custom dresser for baby items.

Don't feel bad the only thing I have for my son is his carseat & stroller and some clothes that I've gotten from ppl. I brought him an outfit and a pair of pants just because I had a $10 reward from Carter's. Other then that I don't have anything for him no diapers, wipes nothing! So don't feel like your by yourself cause you aren't I just don't have the finances at the moment.

? I’ve only bought 1 outfit for him.
Next month we will be buying everything that we need. Travel system, swing, pack n play.

I procrastinated last pregnancy and ended up buying it all a week before my due date doing that is stressful. This time I have gotten him a good variety of clothes since my last was a girl which I was surprised about had to double check when she was born I had to start all over again and this time I didn't want my hands tied behind my back so I have slowly but surely bought little by little each month. Finally picked up the few things I needed a few days ago to finish it it off. Ross has been my friend with this pregnancy a lot of things for low prices . I have all the big items hecl we bought my daughter's crib about a year ago to make her sleep in her own bed so his crib is basically never been used but the drawers at the bottom.

Oh gosh I would never let my DH convince me to wait. We've gotten everything we need slowly since finding out I was pregnant (especially after finding out we're having a boy since we had very little gender neutral stuff). If I were you I would put it to him this way: you're in labour at the hospital. Exhausted from giving birth. Having to deal with taking care of a NB and having your previous child to care for as well. But you need to buy clothes, towels, wash cloths, socks, hats, mitts, diapers, wipes, diaper cream(if you use it), and a whole list of other basic things baby needs. Not only that but you need to wash everything first. Oh and where's the baby sleeping? That needs to be set up before you get home. And while you're running around trying to do this, your other child is upset cuz you're busy trying not to forget anything and trying to take care of a newborn at the same time.
No. I would put my foot down and say absolutely not. We need to get at least a few basic things before baby gets here.

Oh girl, I’m so sorry!! But to be honest with my last two we actually waited till closer to time to get everything. I don’t know why lol. But with this pregnancy, we started buying & putting together nursery before I was even 10 weeks pregnant lol. My sister & bff even threw my baby shower at beginning of Dec so I would have enough time to buy everything I need. I’m now 31 weeks and we are DONE! I feel so relieved and a lot of stress lifted off of me

i suggest getting a few gift cards to the stores you want to shop at and start saving that way, so you have the money to spend and you're not dropping a whole bunch of bill money for the baby.

My husband and his family are strong believers that buying things before the baby gets here is bad luck because they have actually been thru it a couple of times where they were well prepared and then baby didnt make it. So I can kind of understand that... I am due in about 9 weeks and the only thing we do have is a couple of random outfits from people. Smh it is very frustrating, especially since I am wanting to nest as it gets closer to my due date. However, I have made hubby compromise. We will start to buy things the beginning of March and we already have a savings account set up for all of baby's needs so we wont feel so overwhelmed when it is time to shop.
