Breastfeeding
How often do your babies feed? Layla’s nearly 1 (in 3 weeks) and she feeds so much still between 8-12 feed through the day and then she’s attached to me all night? I don’t mind as I’m glad I’ve fed for this long but I thought once she was eating solids her feeds would reduce ?
Hi hun my little one is nearly 16 months and I am still breastfeeding her she is on me most of the night aswell not as much in the day now til between 4 to 5 times a day I am trying to get her off and it's so hard at the min I think babies do it for comfort that's what everyone tells me xx
My boy is 12.5 months and he feeds 1-3 times daily from me mainly for naps. My friends little one is 21 months and feeds about 6-20 times a day and feeds all night. I think they are all different my boy eats solids well and drinks from a sippy cup where as her little girl doesn’t eat as much and really needs pushed to drink from her sippy cup. I think they all wean on their own but I have been more pushy towards food and sippy cup than my friend so that might be why
Lol bless her I love the comment about racing to your boobs when she sees them because mason does that too. I have to get dressed in a different room now because if not he wants milk!
Now that I’m back to work his feeds have dropped right down to twice a day. Once first thing in the morning and once before bed. At Layla’s age though he was still having several feeds a day and feeding through the night. Once he turned 13 months he started eating so much better than before and I just slowly dropped his feeds one by one and he weaned off the boob really well. Soon I’ll be dropping his morning feed and just feed him at night. Layla will be ready to wean off it too when she’s ready if you’re not in a rush xx
Haven’t tried her with milk yet, she used to have 2 bottles of formula but the past few weeks she refuses to have them, Also tried her with water but she spits it straight out x
Heidi see I don’t work so I’m here constantly and as soon as she sees my boobs she literally races to them? x
Im in the same position except my son is a little younger. He is a comfort sucker lol and wont take a dummy or a bottle. He must drink from a cup! Just hang in there x
