Breastfeeding post again sorry?
So as you all know I had layla 3 weeks ago now and I was breastfeeding of the first 4 days but she made my nipples so raw and they bled so I ended up expressing and bottle feeding my nipples are fine now they've healed she's been going on my boob a few times a day not every day but sometimes she just routes for it so I give it her but is it too late to carry on breastfeeding again? Like stop the bottles and just breastfeed?

Okay thankyou just didn't know if it was too late to put her back to the boob! Sounds silly when I say it haha and thankyou it's bloody hard work but I love it xx

No not too late!! Just make sure she latches well and it's comfortable while you're feeding so you don't get sore again! X

Get some cream to put on your nipples hun mine were like that but have gotten easier as the days have gone by and the better she latched. Put it on before every feed xx

My baby was having expressed in a bottle from 5 days old until 5 weeks and is now nearly 4 months and breast feeds just find ? I had to use nipple shields at first to help him to latch properly but he doesn't need then day more either!! Good luck you've done great it isn't easy is it xxxx

Thanks everyone I'm so happy I can carry on! I have lansinoh cream I'm gonna start reusing that cos they feel abit sensitive atm! Ahh so happy I can carry on thanks ladies!! ?xxxxx

Get some nipple shields! Absolute life saver. Never interfered with me breastfeeding at all X

I've tried nipple shields but I can't get them on properly and she just gags on it so I dunno if I'm putting them on wrong or not? Xx

Which nipple shields have you got? Mine were avent ones and they were quite big but my baby didnt have trouble with them. It might be worth looking into the different makes as I'm sure some will be smaller than others and that might help your baby girl. But if she's latching on just fine without them then don't waste the money! Just definitely something you should try if baby was struggling to latch ? xx

U gotta pinch the nipple part then put it on your nipple and let go so that it sucks your nipple in ? x

My baby never got on with nipple shields either - even the small ones made her gag! TBH it's easier without if you get the latch right! X
