Hiii I went for a scan today and was told my placenta is basically blocking baby's way out I'm only 23 weeks but have previous prem baby what actually is this? I googled but nothing factual is coming up.. I have to go back at 32 weeks to see if it's moved but if it hasn't what will happen? X

I had this with my first it's called placenta prévia if it doesn't move you will need a section quite a lot do move though mine didn't x

Like pp said I think they just scan you closer to due date and if placenta hasn't moved you have to have a section x

Mine says posterior low in my notes. I thought posterior was at the back? And anterior at the front? They didn't say anything to me x

Mine did this with the last two babies. By 36 weeks I think I was scanned it had moved with my third n my forth was but earlier don't worry my lovely xxx
