I'm currently looking too it's a joke I've found loads of houses got added like last night I phone up today and they are gone already !!!! ? I'm never gonna find a house a this rate I swear to god it's driving me mad , dssmove, gumtree you have phone them up tbh cause it's not the agency it depends on the actual landlord themselfs

Holly i know!!! Ive been on the phone all morning get my hopes up then they drop the bombshell we dont accept dss/hb!! Its driving me crazy haha x

Completely agree with Lisa, i have known so many people on benefits who either leave their landlord in a load of debt or trash the place. And obviously this is not the case for alot of people. I private rent you have to pay so much money upfront tho xx

@holly.. have a look on rightmove, Im from bham and often see places to let on there who accept dss.. dont get me wrong there arent loads but there are some. Obviously only problem with going through an agency are the deposits/ fees as theyre just a joke but have a friend who had received money for her deposit through dss or whoever it is who sorts the housing x

I'll have a look I've been looking on zoopla too, it's true lise it's bad they just wreck it for people who generally just want a house loool! I've got all the deposit and stuff but that's good that they have helped your friend out with her xx

Where I live you still get the option to pay to the landlord mine gets paid to mine I hope you find a place soon xx

I found someone who didn't accept then threw me out years ago as I got £10 a week help! I'm now claiming full housing benefit and only found a house as I was in the position to pay 3 months rent up front I've never ever missed or been late to pay at any house I've lived in! a cousin of mine is thousands in rent arrears as she spends the money and somehow gets moved to a new one to do it pisses me off for the genuine ones I found mine on open rent I literally went in every hour as houses go so fast on there xx
