Dr talking about a 37 week delivery
So I went to the doctor's today and they said I will be having a ultrasound to measure the babies size every visit now, as well as being put on the monitor. He is now 1 pound 10 oz. I am 24 weeks tomorrow and they are already discussing a delivery plan. It kind of scared me. He said 37 weeks will be best. This will be my fourth c-section. Feeling nervous now... I guess I should start buying stuff.

That weight is just fine for that gestation. I understand that you are having a repeat C-section but why is he going to do it at 37 weeks? Especially because you are planning a c-section, the size should not really matter as long as baby is not in distress.

I am a type one diabetic and i will be having two csections in alittle less then one year. I lost a baby at 26weeks last May.

I am type 1 also and my doctor said 37/38 weeks he will deliver me. He said its because the bigger the baby and uterus get the more sugar is produced and so it will be harder to control our blood sugars (which will cause harm to baby). So as long and the baby is measuring okay he would feel better delievering early

My friends diabetic actually two are and both have to have c section at 37 weeks too :) it's best for both baby and mum and Goodluck x
