Hey ladies, I know I have been MIA.. but here's an update:::: I am now 14wks pregnant with a healthy baby! I can definitely say pregnancy was not what I expected! When I was 6 weeks pregnant (1 week after I found out) I became SUPER SICK!!! I mean I've heard of morning sickness , but I had all day sickness! It was literally 1000 times worse than I expected. I threw up all day. I could not eat or drink anything. I ended up in the hospital for a few days due to dehydration. I tried so hard to eat little things like fruit and drink for the baby but I could not even do that. I threw up everything that I put in my body.. even water!! I was off work for about 2 weeks.. I could barely walk I was beyond weak.. I had horrible stomach pains which felt like a ball was being bounced around inside me.. doctors could not find anything wrong w the baby, however they did find 2 cysts which they said could cause pain. I was given nasuea meds l that I threw up as well.. so ofcourse did nothing for me. I had horrible sensitivity to light and sound, I had to stay in the dark at all times or I would become super irritable , and woozy/light headed. Light and sound literally made me feel like I was dying !! Everything that I smelled made me through up.. I could not put on lotion , deodorant, or even shower which soap that had ANY type of smell to it or I would puke right there in the shower. I cried almost everyday I was so miserable. At this point, even Thinking of being pregnant made me sick. I became so depressed and felt guilty praying for the pain to go away! I just wanted to give birth already!! Now these were none of the signs I've ever heard of from pregnant women. This went on for 4 weeks! Everyday all day non stop ! Then slowly began to stop. Now at 14wks I feel much better.. I still get nasuated sometimes and I throw up maybe once or twice a week which is a huge improvement ! I still haven't gained ANY weight, not even a pound so hopefully that comes next. I still can not believe I made it through that but for some reason right after that is when I just felt the strongest bond with my unborn child. It's like we've been through war together. I know it's still early but I'm looking forward for things only getting better. I just decided to share to let you ladies know what I went through. I now know pregnancy can be a very beautiful yet scary and life threatening experience . Ladies please be careful and take care of yourself for your little ones.. it might not be as easy for you as it was for the next person. ((: I look fwd to hearing your stories !

Yes! For me it took awhile but it did get better. I was so nervous bc i would talk to people I knew and they all said they never had it as bad as me (except for my mom) so I started go get a bit worried. I thought something might have been wrong with me lol.

Have you ever heard of Seabands? You can find them on amazon. But you can also google them for more information, there's a whole website on it that explains them. I know not everything works for ever, but it doesn't hurt to check'em out. They pretty much help you by applying light pressure to a certain spot on your wrist to help reduce nausea. Maybe you can give it a try? I've personally never even hears of them until recently, but someone I know who is pregnant has horrible morning sickness as well and many people suggested she try it. Good luck and congratulations!

Sea bands can also be found in the pharmacy stores. I used to work at CVS and we carried them near the antacids and emetrol.

I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum with my daughter which is basically what you're explaining. I had it my entire pregnancy. I hear ya though girl...it's absolutely miserable but once you're holding your perfect baby in your arms it becomes old news and now I'm ttc #2 and I know it's worth it :) congratulations!

Yup, I know that feeling. With my 2nd I lost 19lbs in two months and like u took trips to ER for dehydration. Good luck sweetheart....

Wow ! I always only hear the positives if pregnancy. Nice to know I wasn't the only one.. I thought I was crazy! Lol honestly, I can't think of going through that again.. although I know all pregnancies are different, I'm so afraid to go through that again ! But GL to you on your #2 I hope this time around is a smoother experience. But I'm sure it's worth it (:

Yeah it was pretty bad. Luckily for me it didn't last that long. I would have ended up quitting my job lol. My sickness went away for completely at about maybe 17wks.
