I started my period on the 15th of july, I'm breastfeeding and formula feeding. And I just got the mirena IUD put in on the 8th... I am still bleeding! Some days its heavy and sometimes its light, is this normal? 18 days so far..

I got the nexplanon & my first period I bled for 3 1/2 weeks some days very light & some heavy.  it was horrible I'm hoping my second period will only be 5 days like it was before baby lol

I got my Mirana iud at 4weeks pp and I still bleed on and off...you can have irregular bleeding for the first 6 months but it will get lighter and lighter until it is gone... It's your body getting used to the hormone since it is gradually released by the iud
