Finding out the gender?
I've been reading a lot about women who have found out at 12 weeks (if it was a boy). I would love to find out that early, and my next appointment is when I'm almost 13 wks. Do you think the tech will check?? When did you find out? (:

By blood test only. You can tell by ultrasound around 15-16 weeks. Usually done around 18-20 tho. Others are just theories at 12 weeks

Your tech at the office most likely will not check. But you can pay private party. My doctor wouldn't tell us until at least 20 weeks. We paid to have one done at 16.

It's if you get genetics testing done they do blood tests. It's a special testing for downs. Very expensive and insurance does not usually cover it. It's normally for people who have that or other medical problems in the family will get special genetics testing done to make sure baby's okay. They can't tell that early from just looking. But I paid for a 3d an found out at 15 weeks!

Most people who find out early like that find out through blood test. Most people who find out 15-18 weeks pay for a private ultra sound. Most doctors won't even look until 18-20 weeks.
