Just my hubby. This is our first baby and we don't want an audience. We've been through 2 miscarriages before we finally got her. We want the birth to be private. It makes it special for her daddy and I. After that everyone we've ever met is going to want to see and hold her. We want to welcome her alone and have our private moment.
Whoever is in the room will be staring down there the whole time. No one cares about your privates, they are watching a new life start. I had my SO, the nurses, my midwife, and about 8 interns in the room for my last baby. I didn't even notice anyone but my husband.
My hubby for sure and if I don't need a c section I'm going to see if my friend would be willing to come she's a doula and I could use a little extra support as I'm doing a vbac
Just my mom. I have a second mom who would be freaking out more than me so I would like her there for comedic relief. I don't think we can convince her to come though!
No one! Lol just my fiancé and I. I want to keep it private just us. I've heard from some ppl that have had ppl in the room most often they tell me they wish they had kept it private.
I had my mum and partner the first time and will be doing the same this time around! My partner really struggled seeing me in all that pain and was really stressed so I needed her there to support us both!
Besides medical staff just me and my dh. I don't even want to tell anyone when we're going to have the baby but he said he couldn't do that to his parents so I said that he could call his mom and dad and my mom but they're going to be in the waiting room until we've had an hour alone with the baby. It's a special moment and I don't want a lot of people to ruin it.
With my first it was me, my husband & my mom. This time it will be the same. It may sound selfish, but I've told everyone I don't want 100 ppl running in & out of the room & bringing stress in while I'm trying to have the baby. I'd like a little time with just baby, husband & my 6 year old daughter before everyone bombards us.. I've also told everyone, no social media until I'm ready. To me, this is a private time that I want to enjoy with my family & close close friends. Everyone else can wait. I know I probably sound selfish. But I want us all to be able to enjoy the birth of our new bundle.
My Mommy and probably my older sister(baby daddy to scared to be present). my mom has 3 daughters and has been present in all of her grand babys births. I don't know what I would do without her..
I'm having my hubby and my sis in law. They are the two most positive people I know. I know they will give the room a funny, good vibe atmosphere and that's what I want when my daughter gets here.
We are doing a home birth. I plan on having my husband, doula, midwife, and midwife asst there. My best friend will be there to watch my other 3 children if they are awake. I'm a doula myself and find that some people really thrive off of having a ton of people there for support and some people prefer a more private setting.
Probably just midwife and oh, not even sure when I'll tell mum, when I'm in labour or just after baby is born. I don't think she'd want to be there but not taking the risk, just need the calming loving influence of oh, not to be told how my experience compares to mums experience every 10 mins...
Just my hubby and hospital staff. We've decided interns are fine if they are there that day, we are all about the learning process! But no friends or family. Too stressful for everyone. Luckily at 25w no one has asked about it, but I'm sure it will happen when we get closer. Heck my family is so drama filled, we are going to see about being on lockdown so nobody can even come see us after baby is born without our permission. I'd prefer the hospital to be a personal time where our new family can bond together. Family can come see us at home when we are settled.
My SO, my mom, and maybe my best friend who really wants to be there...but Idk if I want her there...definitely having my mom, my SOs son was a c section baby, his ex only got to 6cm before they csectioned. And Idk how he'll handle it all so I want my mom there for support, and my mom couldn't be there when my brother had a baby because he lives in cali, so this is her first grandbaby (and grandson) so she wants to be there :-)
Hubby and probably my mom. No more than those two! His mom can't be there for the birth but even if she could, (I totally like her and all) but I wouldn't feel comfortable with her in there while I'm in that position.
Just my husband we conceived alone so we will do the delivery alone it's such an intimate moment and was the best idea we came up with when we had our first it gives him a chance to bond with baby when they are cleaning up the baby and tending to me and he has no one fighting him to hold our child
