Gagging Ro is now gagging and I don't know how to help him! I've tried to burp him when he gags and…

He's just learning how to use his gag reflex is truly ok just when he starts to gag watch him closely for signs of turning purple but other than that he will stop once he gets it. But still take him to his doctor and ask them about it too.

Ok. I'll do that. He has s peds appointment on Friday I'll definitely mention it. What do I do if he turns purple?

Is it like an acid reflux gag?

I just talked to my daughter's pediatrician today about something similar. My baby is 10 days old and occasionally it seems like she is gagging on air, but it stupid after a few seconds. She also seems to swallow air, like she's taking gulps. She said it is normal, like pp said, they are learning gag reflex. It could also be excess saliva or left over milk in their mouth.

Still talk to your pediatrician just to give yourself piece of mind, but this sounds like what my baby is doing also.

If baby turns purple call 911 but I doubt that's gonna happen just sit baby up pat the back and it should be ok but like I said I'm no doctor so make sure and talk to your pediatrician about it she may want to monitor it or may have some better advice.

I'm not sure if it's acid reflux or not. I don't think so because he feeds really well. It sounds like what everyone is saying with him learning his gag reflexes. But it's terrifying to watch!

I'm a FTM so everything he does is new to me and I'm a little overwhelmed sometimes.
