Mind if I ask why you're having a scheduled c-section? I'm having my first baby due April 21st but I'm curious as to what reasons they would do c-sections
(This was a response to someone else's question about low fluid but this is why I have to get a c section!)
Yes me! I was 35 weeks when they saw that my fluid is low and baby boy also has an IUGR so they've been monitoring me very closely twice per week since.
My fluid level was at a 6.9 and they say average is 8-15 so it was definitely lower than they want. My ultrasound last week showed that the cord is working great and fluid was at 7 so they're not taking him out yet but I do have a scheduled c section on April 12 (EDD 4/19). He is also breeched so that's why I'm having a c sec.
They don't think he will flip by himself with that low of fluid and they wouldn't try to flip him themselves because it could cause him to go into distress and it would be an emergency c sec anyway haha so they just went ahead and scheduled it.
(I'm almost 38 weeks now) and they would do an induction if he wasn't breech but since he is that's why they're doing a c section.
Also - I thought it might be due to dehydration too so I drank water like CRAZY and when it only went from a 6.9 to a 7 after a week and a half of doing that I realized that's probably not the problem.
