I've been having the same problem. And they have been lasting anywhere from 24-48 hours :( yesterday I finally broke down and had a Coke for the caffeine. That seemed to help.

I have been using essential oils for my migraines. I have a prescription for medicine but it's really bad to take while pregnant. But I use lavender and peppermint oils on the back of my neck and across my forehead. Then I usually try to lay down for a few minutes and I swear it works. Best thing ever.

If that doesn't work then try essential oils. Pure oils really do work. It is amazing. Lavender and Peppermint oils do work their magic on you. I suffer from migraines something terrible. I sometimes forget that I have these oils over here, lol!! I am a new user, less than a year. But I will tell you that I have spent thousands of dollars on medications and doctors visits over the past 2 years. Nothing worked. I have even had the tranquilizer shot the ER gives and I had zero results. The oils worked. So I know buy them as needed. I buy Young Living but honestly you can buy any pure essential oil. You will have a good defense to a lot of things. My children even use them when they don't feel good.

My mom swears by her method and has used it for 20 years! Go get a large coke from McDonald's (preferably. Even bottle or canned Coke should do. ) and take two extra strength Tylenols with it.

I haven't tried that yet, but the past few weeks I've had a handful of migraines. I had one that lasted 3 days so my doctor prescribed me something safe for pregnant women but sometimes that doesn't even take it away.

I have been getting migraines really badly, especially at night. I've found putting a warm wash cloth (or one of those packs you can heat up in the microwave) over my eyes and bridge of my nose really helps.

I read somewhere that being pregnant can make your nasal passages swell which can lead to POUNDING headaches, and that's what they recommended. It has been the only thing to work for me, even though I don't feel stuffy or anything!

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. My main migraine triggers are MSG and dehydration. Once I get one, I put peppermint essential oil on a rag then set it under the hot water in the shower. It lets it steam up really well. I usually do this in the dark. If it is more from stress or tension, try lavendar EO instead. Peppermint isn't safe to put directly on the skin in the first trimester, but is safe after that. After I get out of the shower, I rub some on my temples. I then go lay down if my kids will let me. Usually about 20 mintues later, I puke my guts up then I'm all better. I've never had morning sickness, but I always have to throw up with migraines to feel better.

I ate a bag of flaming hot cheetos yesterday which have MSG in them that I was unaware of. I had a migraine about an hour later. This helped. Water is crucial thought. If you are getting recurrent migraines and headaches, make sure you sleep without any light at night. Even little alarm clock lights disrupt the sleep cycle which can cause migraines. I usually put a sock or something over our lighted things, like the printer and wifi router. Also, frequent or hard to get rid of migraines are a sign of magnesium deficiency, as is frequent constipation. Try magnesium oil on your skin. If you are really deficienct, it will tingle or burn the first couple of times until your levels come up. Magnesium oil absorbs better than epsom salt baths or oral magnesium supplements.
