My son is terrible twos already! He is so fresh. He hits and throws his things. Tonight he was playing and all of a sudden he gets mad idk why but he started smashing his toy truck and then he got up and brought it to me and I took it and then he started hitting me and I'm like no! Do not hit me and he continued to like he usually does so I picked him up and moved him to the other side of the room and sat him down and I'm like you aren't going to him me and you aren't going to take it out on your toys either so you can just sit here and he started screaming crying and he sat there for a couple minutes doing so and I went and sat back down and then he was fine and went back to playing nice. Smh idk how to get him out of this hitting and kicking phase. Me yelling and firmly telling him no doesn't do much usually. But me doing that seemed to work so maybe I need to take a different approach and see. I don't want him trashing his toys either. He gets mad for no reason and takes it out on everything around him. Or he thinks it's funny to kick and hit and it's not ok. I try my best to redirect and try to teach him that it's not ok in whatever way I can but he's still so little idk if it gets through to him :/
