Don't get another ultrasound until 20weeks!

Ask for an NT scan if your insurance covers it. It's done around 12 weeks.

I think that's common, too. I had mine at 9 weeks (because I couldn't go during the 8th week), and won't be getting another ultrasound until 20weeks. I'll just be getting doppler to hear the heartbeat at the 12 and 16wk appointments.

Comp normal. I was told only two ultra sounds we're going to be performed. They found a bleed behind the placenta during the first ultra sound so I'll be getting them throughout to check that. But as long as it's healthy they usually do two. You could always pay and go get one.

It sounds right. Your problems occur at l&d so what would additional scans offer?

And it's like $50-75 to go get a gender scan done at a 3d/4d place...check google.

With my first I only had 2 scans done. I paid out of pocket at a private facility to get 2 more with 3d and gender reveal. This pregnancy I've already had two but that's because I had a miscarriage 8 months ago and I'm at a higher risk of miscarriage. I also had to take medication and see an endocrinologist to get pregnant. Because your issues were during delivery and it sounds like everything went find until that point, then I don't see how extra ultrasounds would help anything, yes they are nice but wouldn't change anything at this point in pregnancy. If you want more you could always look for one of those private places that does them. They can't diagnose anything but at least you'd get to see your baby.

Why don't you try finding a 3d /4d ultrasound place that specializes in gender scans? There are tons of places here in CA where they do ultrasounds to find out the gender. Of course you have to pay for them but it's so worth it! We did it with our daughter and will be doing it with this baby too!

No no no lol let me clarify my problems were not caught until d day with my first and we started noticing my poor placed and bad placenta at 14 weeks with my second, resulted in her only being 3.11 at birth and born early because she stopped growing. Few blood transfusions and emergency csections later and there here but they were both very traumatizing.

I just feel like this time around he isn't keeping a close eye because he said new insurance coverage of scans has changed so something has to be wrong for me to even get a second , he said I see you're morning sickness is getting better "if it's worse at your next appointment we can schedule a medically nes. ultrasound" basically asking me to lie at my next appointment so I can have it scheduled. He seemed concerned but said new insurance has changed even for high risk patients. I'm scared for my life something will go unseen for so long and I'll loose the baby over something that could easily be fixed
