concerned she can't hear

When my children were infants we took them to skeet shoots, it's where people shoot small clay disks with different Gage guns, and neither of my kids would react to the sounds. Infact they would fall asleep listening to them.

They have been to the ear Dr and both thier ears are perfect.

When ds was 3-4 months I was vacuuming while he sat in his swing. It was an old school swing that sat low almost touching the floor. I vacuumed underneath him and around him...even just stood there with the vacuum beside him while it was on. It was so loud! He never even flinched. Just slept right through it. He is 11 now and has perfect hearing.

When my DS was 3 months, we were at a friend's house cooking and burned some bacon. Set off the smoke detector, I thought he would startle awake from his nap, but he didn't even flinch. He is 2 now and has great hearing...when he chooses to :-)

It's more the non response to stimuli while awake

She may have since developed some fluid in her ears. If you're concerned, definitely have her doc take a look next appointment.

Sounds like you need an appt with an audiologist. Call a ped ent, they should have one on staff.

Mine is different since my ds has failed 4 hearing tests. He doesn't really react either. If the pitch is loud enough he will but he may have mild hearing loss. We find out in December when he goes in for his 5th hearing tests and if he fails tubes will be put in to remove the fluid
