I'm legit in the bathroom, 9 months pregnant, crying because my husband compared having sex to work. He says he's been stressed at work. That he hasn't been sleeping well. I told him "well we could have more sex if that'd relax you". He replies with "idk if I'd call sex relaxing... it's more like... work".

I tell my SO that kinda often... "not tonight babe I had a long day at work and don't want more work" or something like that. Its just the physical demand from it. I don't think he meant it badly.

Maybe he meant it takes a lot of energy? I don't necessarily think he was saying it's stressful and not enjoyable. I'm sorry, that probably would've caught me off guard and hurt my feelings too :(

It sounds to me like he just meant it as in it takes a lot of physical energy out to do it. I wouldn't take offense to it. Hell thats my excuse half of the time?
