One of the middle names we want is Elizabeth. However, it is a family name on my husbands side. Including his sil and aunt. I do not want it to be that we named her after anyone. We just like the name. With our son his middle name is also my husbands uncles name but he was actually named after another important Christopher in my husband life. So we've already gone through "they're not named after you". Do we do it again??

I would do it if you love it.
We used Elizabeth which ended up being my mil grandmas name and my grandmas moms name. We had no idea. My mom was kinda upset because or sons middle name is after dhs grandpa (I just liked the name but whatever DH can think it's for him) and none of our kids share a name with any of her family.
Pick a name because you like it and just let them think what they want

Our daughter's middle name is Marie. That was my great grandma's first name, both my grandma's middle names and my aunt's middle name. A few people asked if we had named her after one of them. We said "no, we just liked the name and it fit good with the first name we chose." After that no one asked again
