Mine is 50 % carbs 20 fat and 30 protein? .. I'm no dietician but I think if as long as you are in a deficit you will lose weight... Bc there is no such thing as "tone"..
You want to be able to see some of your muscle but to do that you have to lose the body fat that is covering it up :)
I would suggest slowly lowering your calories like -50 calories per week until you are seeing the results you want.
If you want to see muscle definition then you have to lift weights, do squats, lunges. Losing weight "fat" will not show your muscles. Lifting weights will not make you bulk up either- that's a myth!
I agree, it is hard to get so much protein. I think I've read getting 0.65- 0.8 g of protein for each lb of bodyweight is ideal if you're trying to build muscle. You may be able to go a little lighter on the protein and maybe eat a little more carbs. Eating at a surplus or right at maintenance and lifting heavy is the best way to build muscle.
You have to do a macro calculation....the pp who out your carbs and proteins closer to 200 seems like that's more where you would want to be, as long as you are lifting pretty frequently. Google bodybuilder.com macro calculator and it should pull up where you can just enter your stats. ?
That's the hard part. I've read 1 g of protein per lb.
I did the macro calculator. I'm pretty on track for fat loss.... muscle gain though one got to add in a lot. If I have to eat more I might throw up lol

I'm not sure where carbs or fat should be, but I think your protein looks good.

Not sure where it's suppose to be. Mine is 40 carbs, 30 fats, 30 protein.
I'm still always over for carbs ?

I really don't think fat should make up that percentage of your diet! ?
If my fat intake is 30% for the day, I know I've made bad choices! I keep my carbs between 30-50% and try to get as much protein in as possible

Lift heavy, less reps. Cardio won't build muscle or definition....??

That looks about right with the program I currently do, Les Mills Combat. Did Insanity come with a diet plan?
