I've been coping sans adderall by reminding myself that I can only do the best I can and anyone who expects more or gets mad at me for not being better... Well, they clearly don't love me and I don't need to impress people who don't love me.

I completely understand the struggle. It's not "in your head." It's not your fault. It's not something you can just turn off with willpower. So, just do the best you can do and don't be hard on yourself for what you can't do.

My mom was trying to tell me to just relax. Every time I hear that it drives me insain. It's like people think you don't want to relax. If it was that easy, I wouldn't need the medication

How much space can meds take? Wouldn't it make sense to take them and but whatever you have to take out when you arrive?

When I see my mil I just zone out. I smile and nod and stay in my happy place. When she says something stupid I just think r&r would destroy you! That gets me through it. Good luck!

If you need to you should be able to go to an urgent care and tell them you forgot your meds. Ask them to call your doctor, and once your doctors confirms you do indeed need the medication they will give you a script to tide you over. Usually no more than 5days.

Withdrawal symptoms are terrible. I feel bad for you hun. Just try to sleep as much as you can. Take hot showers or baths often to help with the chills. Take ibuprofen for the body aches. Force yourself to eat. You're not going to want to but when you eat you'll feel so much better for a while. The 3rd day should be the worst. After that the symptoms will slowly taper off and by day 5 or 6 you should be somewhat functional. Good luck.

How far away are you? I'd consider driving back before i went through withdrawal. My dh used to take adderall. If he was without meds he would take caffeine pills. That helped a little.

By the time I realized it, 2.5 hours. And still had 6 to go. Plus going back would mean going through Washington D.C. on a holiday weekend. ? my husband at least offered.

I don't know if it would work, but you could go to Walgreen's and get some pseudoephedrine. It's a stimulant as well. Maybe worth a shot?

Is there no way to call doc and get a small enough prescription to just last the trip? That really sucks. GL op!!

The only possible solutions are to either drive back and retrieve the adderall, or just tough it out while you don't have it. Unfortunately, no pharmacy or hospital is going to give you any kind of early refill on this medication. Is is a highly regulated medication, schedule II medication.
