This is like a hospital screwing up and switching your baby at birth. You find out years later, and while you love the child you raised, you better believe I would sue. Especially something like this that she paid damn good money for. Whether or not you think this woman is racist doesn't matter. She paid for a white man's sperm expecting a white baby. I don't doubt she loves her child one bit. However, the sperm bank messed up big time and she should be compensated for their mistake.
Just saw a tid bit of it on the View... I think they should get something for it.. And they aren't asking for much either.. $50,000...in the legal world.. Doesn't seem like much.. Plus I'm sure they paid quite a bit for the sperm and procedure... It seems fair...

It's much more.than looks, people look at the father's education, job etc. Not to mention some people have medical issues, I am cystic fibrosis carrier the only way my child would present with CF is if the father is also a carrier, which means I could potentially have a child with a serious genetic condition if I was given the wrong sample.
The media is trying to make it look like she is being a racist by not wanting a black baby but she clearly says in a video she loves her baby but the sperm bank is wrong and I agree! To be honest I would be very very upset if I chose a specific African American dad for my baby and then was impregnated with sperm from any kind of race (African American, Caucasian, Hispanic, etc.) and any kind of man that I had no idea about
She's suing bc she didn't get what she paid for which im assuming they spent several hours deciding what traits & characteristics they wanted in a sperm donor much like most people do when choosing mates. As far as $ 50k that's standard lawsuit language in Ohio. She could settle for much more than that. She probably has been in talks to settle it but statute is 2 yrs in ohio to file a lawsuit so she had to file now. Regardless I think she loves the child no matter what and is suing bc the sperm bank failed to provide her with the correct contracted sperm.
