Mine was early in the morning so I fasted because I wanted to make sure I had no extra sugar in my system. However, my doctor said it wasn't necessary to fast, but to not eat anything with sugar in it.

Ok thank you. Maybe things have changed since three years ago. I'll prob eat something light like eggs and pig out after the test lol

I’ve never fasted for the one hour tests.

This is my fifth pregnancy and I’ve passed all five times.

For the one hour glucose test you don't have to fast they just recommend you not eat any sugars. For the 3-hour test it is recommended that you fast before taking it. I had gestational diabetes with my first born so I was more susceptible to having it this time so they asked that I fast for at least 10 hours before my appointment.

I had to fast for my glucose test this past Friday. But that what my OB office require. They give you a paper and everything. If I didn’t fast I would have had to reschedule my appt. I hope I passed though. Good luck Monday.

I took the 2hr test and i had to fast for 10hrs...which totally sucked seeing that i eat all during the night and when i hit the floor to keep from getting sick but it actually wasnt that bad as i thought it would lol
