I don’t think so but it really just depends, every pregnancy is different. Braxton hicks shouldn’t cause any change to the cervix/dilation.

Did you have any risks factors prior for going into preterm labor?

Not necessarily around the same time but they say if you have had a preemie in the past it is more likely that you will have another. Although this of course isn’t always the case.

Not highly likely your next will come out premie but your chances do increase. I have a friend who has had 2 premies and is now preggo with her 3rd who will be full term.

It depends on what caused you to go into labor early, that would decide if it happens again. I would say unless something was corrected or changed then you probably do have a higher chance of having baby preterm than a woman who hasn’t had a baby preterm.

I had my son at 36w and am now considered high risk because by GYN says that when you have one preterm the possibilities are higher of your next being preterm as well.

I'm considered high risk. My last pregnancy, I started having Braxton hicks around this time. The nurse just told me to drink more water. I had brown discharge when the dr checked my cervix, she said it was soft but still closed. And the very next day I gave birth. It was spontaneous. They still can't tell me why I went into labor early. I have had a leep procedure to scrap my uterus of abnormal cells and I have a cyst on my ovary but other than that, no other risks.

I wonder if the leep procedure could have caused me to go into labor early
