High-calorie foods for 14 month old?

Struggling to get my 14mo dd to gain weight. Seem to spend all day trying to get her to eat, can't up the quantity of food!

Thanks ladies, a few foods I hadn't thought of. Certainly not trying to make massive diet changes, just change a few options so she still gets nutrition but with a bit more calories to help her grow a bit!

No issues with milestones or temperament, very happy lo.

Dr is a little concerned as her % decline (bub was born 75/75 for height/weight and at 12 month check was 50/25). I need to go back in a few weeks for follow-up. Hubby and I are both small/average-ish so it's fine if she stays at 50/25% just not if she keeps dropping...

My 2 year old weighs 9kg. I'm not worried about her gaining weight.

As long as they have 3 healthy meals and a 2 or 3 snacks a day they will be fine.

My 6 yo only weighs 20kg.

I have the same problem with my 2.5yr.old. She is 11kg. Not extremely healthy but try veggie muffins zucchini and tuna slice and peanut butter sandwiches.

Have you seen the doctor? I would not go adding calories to your lo's diet until you have spoken to your doctor.

It's pretty normal for kids to not gain or lose weight once they get moving. As long as she is thriving, meetings milestones had plenty of wet nappies I would not worry too much about he scale, unless the doctor is.

There are powders you can get from the chemist for kids who wont eat, you mix them with milk and they are full of vitamins and minerals and I think some protein.

I think it's normal for weight gain to slow as they get older. My son is 2 and still weighs 10kgs.

My son is 15 months and doesn't really put on weight, he even lost a bit when he got sick, don't be too concerned unless they're already underweight for their age or not eating/drinking enough.

Avocado is a superfood with lots of nutrients, the only food with a zero glycemic index. It is also high in good fats and kids love it!

My dd is also 14months and hasn't put on any weight in about 3 months but I can see she has definatly gotten taller! Foods like avos and bananas dried fruit yogurt are all healthy high calorie foods.

I make my daughter fruit smoothies and fresh fruit ice blocks so easy but yet so full or fruit and she loves them!

It's pretty normal for their weight to slow down once they start moving. Some kids even lose weight. How much does she weigh? Where is she on the percentile chart?

What about a high calorie milk drink?

Salt reduced bake beans,

Veggie and cheese pasta,

Make your own chips in the oven

That's all I can think of :)
