i can’t drink water, it makes me nauseous and i’ll end up vomiting. i’ll drink some juice but i can’t drink a lot of it either. anyone experience this? do you know what helps? i don’t want to be dehydrated ?
before pregnant, i eat healthier and drink lots of water, i rarely drink anything else. when pregnant all i want is coke, instant noodles and fast food. i can hardly eat anything else and water is out of the question. i honestly hate it. i have to force myself to eat healthier food but i’d feel so nauseous, sometimes my body rejects it and i vomit. it’s frustrating! ☹️

I'm currently the same way. I used to only drink water before getting pregnant. I looooove water. But now, it just makes me so sick. Then when I try to drink soda, juice, or Gatorade, it makes my saliva feel all slimy and my mouth all hot. Following for more tips ?

When I get tired of water and need a little flava I have sparkling water (raspberry lime is my favorite) mixed with a little juice (I like to mix it with raspberry lemonade or cran/raz juice).

Only problem I had was a large blood clot on the placenta that we didn't see till after delivery. But it was not caused by what I drank. I would try what others have suggested and if you still can't keep water down then drink what you can. Its better to drink something than nothing at all. And really I was not able to drink water with this pregnancy will I was 14 weeks along. I lived on coke, yoohoo, and grape juice till then. Hopefully it passes because not being able to eat or drink something is horrible.

Omg OP unrelated but my whole pregnancy I wanted cherry Coke
@lilnote i’ve been craving coke ever since i found out i’m pregnant lol but i’m afraid of GD. did you have any problems during ur pregnancy with your dd? i’m really hoping i’ll be better in 2nd tri and not just live off sweet/sugary drinks the entire pregnancy.
and thanks ladies for the suggestions, i’ll try them all out and see what works.

I could not drink water (not even flavored) when I was pregnant with my DD. Not a sip till after I had her. I lived off of Gatorade, Coke, and sweet tea. I am so glad I am able to drink it with this pregnancy.

Have you tried seltzer water? Sometimes bubbly water is easier than flat. Or flavoring the water or seltzer w lemon? If dehydration is your concern you can try water rich foods like water melon, cucumber, broth soups etc.

Keep trying things unto you find what works. For one pregnancy I was able to drink flavored seltzer water like la croix. This time lemonade was what I could drink.

Try adding lemon or fruits to the water. You can get some of the natural sugars from the fruits.
Also celery is basically water maybe try eating some. Clearly just eating celery isn’t enough water by any means but it will get some into your system :)
pp, i drink only water when i’m not pregnant, so maybe my body needs more sugar? lol
i dunno if gatorade helps, last pregnancy that type of drink made me more bloated, gassy and nauseous but maybe i’ll try and see. thanks ladies, i’ll try all the suggestions

My friend was like this when she was pregnant and her doctor said some people need some sugar when they are pregnant for whatever reason so she drank a lot of juice and Gatorade.
