Help waking for bottles!
Help waking for bottles!
My lg is now waking in the night twice for bottles around 10-11 and 3-4 she has 7oz at 6pm before bed then she's having 6oz when she wakes up, I've tried leaving her to settle herself but she just gets fuming! In the day she's hardly having any of her bottles and getting most of her milk in the night, how do I go about getting her to drink more in the day instead of night time? Help! She's 4 and a half months x

My little boy is doing exactly the same ?. He has his last feed at 7pm then has all of a sudden started waking at 11/12 then 4/5 for a feed. He also wakes a few more times but I can get by with putting his yummy in then he goes back to sleep. He is 4 months.
I've read they can have a growth spurt and sleep regression at this age that goes on for a few weeks ?.

That's the 4 month sleep regression, all 3 of mine went thru this but I would strongly advise to not feed in the night unless they were feeding anyway as it creates bad sleep habits x

What time does she wake up usually? Can you wKe her an hour or so earlier so that she will get in an extra feed during the day? X

She has to feed in the night if they're not getting it in the day u can't starve them! Go with it, it'll pass as quick as it's come there's loads of leaps and regressions in the first yr.

It's just sleep regression and a growth spurt, I would think. You just have to go with it - it's still pretty good for a 4.5 month old to only wake twice for a bottle. It's perfectly normal and you just need to go with it. X

My son is the same, kind of. He started sleeping 7-7 but now he wakes up at 5 on the dot for a bottle and then sleeps again until 7. He's nearly 5 months, but I'm not complaining because as soon as he has his bottle I put him back in the cot and he gets himself back to sleep. It does sound like the sleep regression though, all part of them growing! X
