Do you feel any different when you eat something your not suppose to?
I got diagnosed with gd almost two weeks ago, still waiting for the hospital to refer me to a specialist to learn how to manage.
I haven't been diagnosed with GD yet..I was unable to complete the 3 hour test twice but as soon as I failed my one hour over two weeks ago I too completely changed my diet. I don't even crave sweet things like I did before either and find it easier to turn those things down! I have to test my sugars twice a day for the next 10 days to see if I will be diagnosed with it. I do notice that I feel sick more when I'm not eating my best! But at the same time (and this may seem silly) I was warned by a old GP to be very very careful of eating salads and lettuce bc there is greater odds of listeria than in cold cut meats! Ugh this is so hard already!
I agree with pp, if I eat something too high in carbs I feel sweaty. If I eat something and it's not enough carbs I get really bad nausea, feel cold and dizzy. Finding that balance is really important.
