Do I have to pump?
I just started back working part time. I'm only working 3 days. I leave my house at about 6am and can feed baby right before I leave. I return home around 12:30. I figure I'll be gone 7 hours at most. My body adjusted easily to going 12 hours without nursing at night so will it just adjust if I skip a few nursing times a few days a week. I don't need the pumped milk since I have tons of formula that was given to me.

Yes if you want to keep your supply you will have to pump. If not your milk supply will drop and keep dropping till you don't have anymore. Going 7 hours during the day and 12 at night is way to much!

Could kill your supply

May be a stupid question, but how would I know if my supply was dropping?

Baby won’t be satisfied after meals. Will still be fussy or hungry.

I didn’t pump when I worked I would go 8 hours without nursing. My body just adjusted to my schedule. They say you should pump but I didn’t have an issue and my co worked would only pump for 5 min since she was scared of her supply dropping

Thanks for the responses. I've only been back to work for a week so I'll keep pumping for now but it's nice to know if skipping it is an option some days. I'm able to pump but I'm finding it hard to get all my work done and be back in time before my babysitter (aka Nana) needs to leave for another job.
