I would make them pay for the damages and start the eviction process. Save every receipt.

That really is the worst. Just be careful about the things you use in case its not safe for baby or pregnant/lactating women (if I remember right you were pumping right?). You might have to leave it to your df if its not good for you or baby and leave for the day or something.

@PP, that's what I'm doing. I'm leaving it to DF but I'm getting everything bagged up. And baby and I are going to my dads house and we have to wash the cats ASAP too. We're also going to get an exterminator out this week too to get everything we may have missed. And the people downstairs had them so they have fled to us, too. We may be suing the apartment leasing office people because we were not notified of an extermination of bed bugs, and neither was any of the other tenants. So either way, all of us are going to win and DF and I are going to vet out the lease hopefully and kick the room mate to the curb because my father does not want him in our house. So my DF and I may get the house earlier than we expected, and take care of my father.

@Bobbi exactly what I said. I can barely walk and get up due to my stitches still being a bit painful and my chronic back pain. Now I have to pack up all of DFs food that sits on the counter and the bathroom. I have to clean out the back of my dads car, too. DF is taking care of baby for me while I do the car. It's not a lot of heavy lifting. Just a lot of trash and junk. I'm highly upset. I've been checking the baby and im giving him a bath in a little bit when I'm fully awake and finished my tea. I got to call my father around 9 or 10 to come get us. My 9 day old baby shouldn't have to be in a house infested with bed bugs. When he found one, I got right up and started packing our s*** in trash bags. The bed bugs were in the handle of our bed on my side. I didn't get bit, DF did. There's no bites on my baby so I'm alright but im still checking him.

I'm angry for you guys and thankful your aunt is stepping up to help. That's ridiculous and I hope it's all handled quickly.

@maddison- oh man! I know exactly how much pain you are in. My C hurt for it least 2 months. Just tough it out. Its not forever. Good thing you have an awesome df and your baby is safe. That is two blessings right there

You can still get bit but not have a reaction. Those suckers are incredibly difficult to get rid of.

Bed bugs are no joke and are the worst. My mom got them

In her house from my little brother sleeping over his friends house and my mom is the biggest clean freak and almost had a heart attack when she found out. So she paid about 2,000 for this heat thing to be done where the exterminators come to the house in like full on protective gear and then heat the whole house to like 120 or something cause the bed bugs can't survive past a certain temperature. Good luck and even when you get back there triple check your mattress and everything else.

If you can take all your cloths to the laundry mat and put them in the dryer on high for at least 45 minutes. My husband use to do bed bug extermination and he had to do that with his cloths once a week.

We took everything out of his house of ours, we said fack the room mates s*** . Everything is in my dads shed for the next two days. Hopefully everything will clear up. We bombed the house. And baby and I are staying at my dads until Tuesday

Now my day got worse. My sister stole 50 bucks from me out the bank. I cashed in my CD check from my great aunt and I could only pull out 400 at a time. And I had 181 in the bank to still get out. And my great aunt gave me 30 earlier to get the baby diapers and formula, she gave it to my dad and he placed it on the table and told me to get the 30 from the table. I told him I will when I get done the baby's laundry and he left with his friend before I got up the stairs. So I went to grab it and my sister was cleaning the table so I asked where my thirty was and she said "well, dad bought you checkers yesterday and I gave Mrs Dorothy 11for the laundry mat" for one she didn't even consult me and then she tries to put her hands on me because I told her to give me the thirty back. So note my dad's upset because she's trying to get me in trouble when all I asked for was my thirty back. What a great day
