How to
Get medical tape off? I got blood work done yesterday, and they used white medical tape that's an inch in width and gauze. I tried soap. I don't have any alcohol nor alcohol wipes.

Hand sanitizer? It has alcohol in it.

Coconut oil is what I use on bandaid adhesive. Works like a charm

I have no tips. I just slowly pull it off while practically screaming in pain ?
deleted-user·
I usually just pull it as well but I've been left bruises that have been on my arm for about three weeks now. ?

Baby oil.

I normally just pull it too but I don't have nails due to biting them (can't take my anxiety meds) and it hurts to try because it's like im pinching myself.

I just leave it on until I take a shower. Then I rip it off so the pain is slightly less horrible.

Im sorry ladies I thought I put medical tape residue. That's what i meant.

Oh the residue? Good luck. That s*** stays on my arm for a good week. Unless I scrub my skin till its raw.

Vegetable oil!! It works when you get stain on your skin too after staining furniture. Amazement is about to happen before your eyes

I use Vaseline to get it off, comes off after a few minutes :)

Rubbing alcohol. It's what we use to get ds's Hickman line tape off. We have the little wipes. As you're pulling the tape back, take the wipe (or swab, etc) and rub it where the skin and the tape meet. Comes off super easy.

I hate that stuff!
After my c section, I was slowly working it off (wish I had known that rubbing alcohol tip) and this meeeeeeeean nurse said to suck it up and tore it off my arm. ? and then I died. B****.
And then same thing over my incision. I had slowly been working that crap off in the shower. I had an extended stay due to some complications. But my ob came in one day to check on me and said "oh you still haven't taken that off?" RIIIIIIIIIIP. Mother effer! "Tell your friends that I offer incredible c sections and Brazilians!" That I actually laughed at. He's still one of my fave doctors despite the pain!
But yes. Long hot showers or rubbing alcohol. Lol
