How old is the grandson?

Hobbies. What he liked to play just in case he's nervous. Play always helps my daughter not be so nervous

He's 4 years old.

He's very familiar with me. Loves to play on phones. But I think I'll try and steer him away from that when he's here but I'll have my tablet open just in case

Oh okay! Id just ask the basics. Maybe if he needs a nap?

Oh yes! I totally forgot to ask that. Should I ask what kind of drinks he likes or can have? I'm obviously not going to give soda lol but if he likes kool aid, if so what kind, etc

Honestly, I'd ask what you should do incase he has a temper tantrum. I'd ask their methods, just incase he breaks down. Is there certain things they do to calm him? Do they sit him in a corner, time out chair, give him space, etc.

I'm very cautious about discipline, I never want to step over a line when watching someone else's child. I've never spanked a child, even with parents permission, but I've also gotten chewed out for sitting someone's 6 year old down on the couch by himself for 2-3 minutes when they usually "give him their phone and let him cool himself down"

@mommy that's ridiculous! I wouldn't give a child who was being bad my phone! But he's a very understanding kid and has never needed to be disciplined. He never had a tantrum since was 18 months. But I'll still ask that just in case. But I do the time out time by their age. If they're four, they have 4 minutes in time out, then ask if they will be nice and if they have an attitude, I'll do 2 more minutes. I cannot put my hands on a child, I just can't that's not me. So if they say to spank him, I won't. I will sternly but in a calm voice tell him no don't do that, and tell him his consequences. I might do a sticker chart with him if I have him every Saturday and he'll get a prize from me if he doesn't need to be put in time out. I'll probably even lower the price down for them if needed be. I don't mind how much I'm being paid by them, I love the kid to death. I've known his parents since the day I was born but i haven't seen them in years due to me living in Florida for half my life until last year.
