LO and airplanes.
My son is due on July 20th, and during Christmas time or a little after Christmas Day, I want to take him with me to my mothers who lives in Florida. By car it'll take 16 hours, but if I were to take him, we would only drive 8 hours a day and make it to a hotel for one night but I don't want to keep Leo in the car for that long period. If we were to take a plane it would be 2 hours on a plane and two hours from the airport (cheaper to fly in from ft lauderdale if my mom doesn't get the job in Jacksonville) but if she was to live in Jacksonville we'd be in the car for less than an hour, it depends if my mother gets the job. We always stop right after the airport to Denny's. But I want your ladies input; car or plane?

I find it much easier to fly with children. Especially if you're breastfeeding.

Thank you ladies I just don't know how old would be too soon for a plane. I just don't want anything happening to him nor do I want to see him in pain from for sitting too long.

I waited until after DS1's first shots (2months) and will do the same with DS2. I've never had any problems flying with DS1 in his 3 years of flying.

Thank you @colorado. I just wanted input because we do but plane tickets a few months early because prices are cheaper. But should I buy a 2 in 1 stroller (car seat and stroller) for my mothers, have it shipped there? I plan on baby wearing still but I'd love to take DS on walks during the day plus I wouldn't have to pay a hundred dollars just to put it on the bottom of the plane, you know?

@princess I just don't want DS to be uncomfortable being a car for that long, you know? But I wouldn't know until I try it, but I like to plan ahead lol. My mom said if she had the money she wouldn't taken us by plane in a heart beat because she had 3 kids under 3. I mean I loved the car lol but my sister and brother didn't.
