Laying On Right Side
Hi ladies...is it really bad to lay on your right side? I can't seem to get comfortable on my left side anymore. I fall asleep much better on my right side and feel so comfortable. But when I realize I'm on my right side I jump up and roll over because I'm scared to harm the baby. I'm 28 weeks. Thank you!!
Thank you ladies!!!! I feel bad already because I have tons of pillows all around me and flip flop too. SO sometimes leaves the entire King size bed to me or ends up on edge of bed. I'm just glad to hear it's okay to sleep on right side because more comfortable to me. Left side makes my arm go numb.
Sleeping on the left is best because it doesn’t block any blood flow or circulation to you or the baby, but it’s ok to sleep on your right too. You just don’t want to sleep on your back because of the risk of stillbirth.
I flip constantly from left to right all night long. When I’m on my left Baby is in my ribs. When I’m on my right, my hip is in unbelievable pain. There’s no comfortable sleeping position anymore. I told my hubby I sleep like a fish out of water: just flipping and flopping from side to side all night. Lol
Sleeping on your back won't increase the risk of stillbirth. The left side is important if your having complications. It's the best position for blood flow. But sleep is sleep and get it how you can.
