Sleeping aid

Is there anything I can buy to help my daughter stay still in bed. She can't grasp the concept of laying down to sleep. I have to keep laying her down but it never works so I have to feed her so she gets sleepy. She is 10 months old

We had this issue with our son, he wouldn't put himself to bed, he's only just started letting us know he's tired and wants to go to sleep.

He gets his pillow and sheet and lays on the lounge at around 8-830 every night, depending on if and when he's had a nap he's usually out within half hour. Then once he's been asleep for 20-30 minutes we transfer him to his bed

Not the ideal way for some but it's what works for us and the least stressful at bed time. Nothing worse then having a worked up child at bed time

You do whatever you need to do to get your child to sleep, who cares what the books say about putting them into bed to put themselves to sleep, all babies are different and some just like mummy and daddy to comfort them on there way to sleep

my kids slept how ever they wanted where they wanted (in bed with us).

they are now 6, 4 and 3 and my eldest 2 are at school, so in jan we started a good routine with them and they were fine. hardley any tears to start with and now theres none at all. everyone said we were creating bad sleep habbits earlier but we did what we had to do for everyone to get some sleep. I don't regret it. this baby will be co sleeping and have what ever it needs to go to sleep.

my kids do still come in through the night to us but i dont mind

My daughter did this when she figured out how to stand up. I would stay in her room with her and every time she stood up I'd lay her back down with her teddy and say "lay down" in a soft voice. The first time took 45 minutes until she stayed laying down and fell asleep but I stuck it out. By the end of the week she stayed laying down. If she cried I would pick her up to calm her then pop her back in bed and start again. It worked really well for us :)
