I just did a rough estimate for my bestie using 68k as the income. It came back at $370 f/n for 2 children. No rent assistance was included as she owns her home.

Our estimate is $65,000 combined (i only worked 1 month then got ppl) for this financial year and i receive $390 a f/n from centrelink, no rent assistance just parenting payments. Also we have 2 children but as 1 is over 6 years old i dont think we receive much for her at all.

Bella I'd enquire again. I'm going on Mat leave in 3 weeks & as of next financial year our joint income with still be above 100k & I'm estimated to receive $27 a f/n

Thanks Halyz, I was thinking of calling them to enquire if they were paying me incorrectly! I just find centrelink so frustrating lol I even missed out on receiving ppl because after 10 miscarriages me and hubby decided that we would do everything we could to carry bubs to full term so I quit my job and was pretty much on bed rest the whole pregnancy, so after 16 years of working and paying my taxes and never receiving any government benefits I still missed out :(
