Mid/Late April mama's
My eyesss!! All these baby's being born are aching my heart. I'm so readyyy. Everything is all set up and just waiting for my water to break or something to happen lol. These last few weeks are taking forever. 36wks ??????????
I had him yesterday!!! My water started coming out in little gushes yesterday morning at 230am and we went to the hospital as soon as my sister picked up my daughter but that wasn't until 530, because she lives pretty far away...the nurses at the hospital checked me and I was 4cm dilated around 530am, and about 630 they got an IV going cuz I was GBS+. My veins kept blowing so they had to try 4 times to find a vein that didn't just collapse. I REALLY wanted an epidural, but they had to get a liter of fluids in me before I could it, and my baby wasn't handling the contractions all that well. I had been planning to get an epidural before I even got pregnant because of how painful it was with my first!! My contractions were coming about every 20 seconds to 1 minute (they kept varying) and they lasted forever (it seemed).
Apparently I was in transition...because I went to the bathroom and tried to pee but felt like I needed to poop, so I pushed a little...and I felt SOMETHING coming down!!! I told my awesome nurse that I needed to push and I felt something coming out!!! I was really freaked out! She got me up off the toilet and we were slowly making our way to the bed, as fast as I could go waddling...she pulled the "Oh s*** !" cord in the bathroom to get everyone here to help. Suddenly my body clenched and pushed again. I felt the top of my son's head come out a little bit. We finally got to the side of the bed, but his head was partially out of me and I didn't know what to do and the most horrifying thing in the history of my life happened-my body pushed again and he fell straight to the floor!!!!!! I was SO TERRIFIED!!! Our nurse was watching me, and my husband was right behind her, and she didn't see him fall out! I said "He's on the floor!!" And my husband and the nurse saw him laying in a puddle of blood and amniotic fluid and umbilical cord, which had snapped, on the floor. I don't know who grabbed him off the floor, but suddenly 12 people were in the room, and he was in the warmer getting checked out by the nurses and pediatrician and the nurses and midwife and OB were checking me out...
He got a head CT and he's good!! He doesn't even have a bruise from falling.
The OB had to reach her hand inside of me to grab the small amount of umbilical cord that was still there (she had to stick her hand the whole way into my uterus) to get the placenta out. They almost sent me to surgery to get a D&C because they didn't think they could get the placenta out. I also tore a little and had to get 2 stitches near my clit.
He has not cried at all, not a single time since he was born! He makes noises when he's hungry and he'll grunt and stuff, but no crying. Not when he was born, or when they took his blood twice or anytime at all!
The nurses said they have NEVER seen anything like that happen before.
We're both good now, though!
Same boat. April 25th. Last night was the full moon and the way I've been feeling lately I thought for sure this weekend will be it. But probably not. Lol. He feels like a huge alien baby inside me! And the last half of my day yesterday I thought my pelvis was going to break and the lightening crotch was UNBELIEVEABLE. Good luck everyone!
Yes!!! Due the 30th and I'm getting impatient lol! It doesn't help that all of my symptoms have gotten worse the last couple of day. My heartburn is out of control and literally nothing is helping anymore. I can't sleep more than 40 minutes. I am also being blessed with hemroids for the first time in my life... ugh!!! This baby is definitely making sure she will be my last lol!!!
I’m due April 28th but my csection is set up for the 23rd. I definitely want my baby out but I also need him to bake a little longer as I’m moving this coming week and don’t have anything set up. My psychic aunt predicted that he will be born April 14th lol. She predicted my daughter would be 4 weeks early and she was. So, according to her I would only have 2 weeks left. I just need some time to move and set up and then he can come lol.
@SpringFoward Oh sht. That's one heck of a birth story. Glad your both safe. And congratss. Oh my word you never know what's going to happen but our bodies know what to do. When you feel like you need to poop during labour that's a whole trick, lol baby's coming. I will remember that one for sure.
