Confused
I've always thought of heartburn as being in your chest, but what I'm feeling is sitting in my throat. Is that still heartburn? If so, it is very irritating!

Sounds like acid reflex to me. I have it and take Ranitidine for it. Tums & ginger ale could help too.

And that is a normal symptom of pregnancy, right?

Are tums going to help?

Acid reflux. I had it with my second pregnancy and afterwards. I seriously thought it was cancer or something(I had extreme anxiety with my second pregnancy, constantly thought I was dying...crazy I know) but found out it was acid reflux.

I have to take meds as mine never went away after my son....milk and ice cream help as well.

That's how I feel my reflux too! It's weird, but tums seems to help. Reflux is super common and absolutely normal.

Thanks guys. I've realized it's right after I eat, like my food won't digest. It just sits there. I tried tums. Relief is temporary.

I have it really bad as of wk 21. So so irritating! I'm taking tums, but considering talking to my talk about taking an over the counter for it. Tums only give me a break, too.

That's definitely reflux! Your upper esophageal sphincter relaxes during pregnancy, causing acid to literally slosh up and down. It's awful. I've had it all the way up to my mouth. Zantac really helps! Small meals and try to prop yourself up at night!

That's the worse place to.

Acid reflux. I have it normally and pregnancy has intensified it 1000%. Tums are good for it. I asked my dr day about OTC acid reducers and she ok'd Zantac. Stay away from greasy foods, carbonated drinks, spicy foods, anything with acid in it (fruit juices) and it should help!
